Biography Christophe Van Gerrewey (Belgium, 1982)

Christophe Van Gerrewey studied architecture at the University of Ghent and literature at the University of Leuven. He has published both fiction and non-fiction in illustrated magazines such as DWB, Janus, Ons Erfdeel, De Witte Raaf, OASE and De Architect. His recent books include: Reality without restraint. Bathtime in the Villa dall’Ava (2005), Moderne Tijden (2007) and Ruskin. Een reisverhaal bij het werk van Office Kersten Geers David Van Severen (2007).

In 2000, he received the essay prize of the Filosofie Magazine and in 2003 the Inter-University Literary Prize of the University of Leuven. He works as a researcher and teacher at the Department of Architecture and Urban Development at the University Ghent and the Karel de Grote College in Antwerp.

Christophe Van Gerrewey lives in Ghent.
