Julia Bryan-Wilson is de Doris en Clarence Malo hoogleraar moderne en hedendaagse kunst aan de Universiteit van Californië, Berkeley. Met Andrea Andersson was zij curator van de reizende tentoonstelling Cecilia Vicuña: About to Happen (2017-2019), ze is tevens de auteur van Fray: Art and Textile Politics (2017), winnaar van de Frank Jewett Mather Award, de Robert Motherwell Book Award en de Association for the Study of the Arts of the Present Book Prize.
