On the occasion of her new work A Room, 4 Minutes, which is on view in the ground floor exhibition space of Witte de With, artist Germaine Kruip talks to Samuel Saelemakers (Curator Witte de With) about her practice.
During this talk, notions such as theatricality, space and time, architecture and the tension between the natural and the artificial, will be discussed. Special attention will be given to her interest in the work of artist David Lamelas, whose exhibition at Witte de With in 1997 lay at the base of A Room, 4 Minutes.
A Room, 4 Minutes is on view day and night in the ground floor gallery of Witte de With until 29 November 2015.
