From September till February Witte de With will start the Work-Learn Project for the second time as part of the collective learning initiative. A group of 10-15 youngsters from Rotterdam will work and learn at Witte de With’s ground floor gallery MELLY. At the same time, they will follow workshops twice a month that will encourage them to collectively articulate a vision for culture, and to develop a policy plan in order to materialize that vision in MELLY.

The first edition of this program was thematically centered on identity issues, hospitality and entrepreneurship. As part of the program, the participants were tasked to propose a new identity for the space. They proposed naming it MELLY, towards creating a more welcoming environment and conversation-based program.
