Tue Greenfort

Biography Tue Greenfort (Holbäk, Denmark, 1973)
Lives and works in Berlin.
Danish artist Tue Greenfort focuses on the flow of ideas and materials in the world. His practice bears comparison to both environmental and post-conceptual art as he works with diverse materials in order to explore ideas about the environment and recycling. Greenfort situates his work on the blurry boundary between nature and culture, investigating the ways in which the natural world manifests itself nowadays. Witte de With presented his first major solo exhibition, Photosynthesis, in 2006. He has had recent solo exhibitions at Frieze Projects, London (2008); Galeria Zero, Milan (2009); Kunstverein Braunschweig, Braunschweig (2008); Fondazione Morra Greco, Naples (2008) and Johann König gallery, Berlin (2007). He has participated in many group shows including This world and the nearer ones, Creative Time, New York (2009); In Defense of Nature, Barbican Art Gallery, London (2009); Green Platform, Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, Firenze (2009); Short Circuits, Peter Blum Gallery, New York (2009); Ecomedia, Sala Parpalló, Valencia (2009); Kunstmaschinen – Maschinenkunst, Museum Tinguely, Basel (2008); Modelle von morgen: Köln, European Kunsthalle, Cologne (2007); Apocalypse Focus Group, ALP/Peter Bergman Gallery, Stockholm (2006); and Momentum, 4th Nordic Festival of contemporary art, Norway (2006).
