Biography Manon de Boer (Kodaicanal, India, 1966)
Manon de Boer lives and works in Brussels.
Her work has been screened at Mood Salon, Bios, Athens; Happy New Ears, Kortrijk; MUHKA-Media, Antwerp; KVS, Brussels (all 2007). She won the Prix Marseille Espérance at FID, Marseille (2006) and Best Experimental Film at the 14th Curtas Vila do Condo Film Festival, Portugal (2006), where she was also artist in focus. Recent solo exhibitions include: Jan Mot Gallery, Brussels (2007, 2005 & 2003); SKOR, Amsterdam (2002). Recent group exhibitions include International and National Projects, PS1, NYC; Open Archive, Argos, Brussels; 2 ou 3 choses que j’ignore d’elles, FRAC Lorraine, Metz; Territoires de l’Image, Musée de Beaux-Arts, Lille (all 2007). She featured in the 52nd International Art Exhibition of the Biennale de Venezia in 2007 and will participate in the 2008 Berlin Biennale. Her work has previously been shown at Witte de With as part of the Don Quijote exhibition (2006).
