Biography Yael Bartana (Israel, 1970)
Yael Bartana lives in the Netherlands and Israel.
She studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem and undertook a two-year residency at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam. She has recently had solo exhibitions across the Netherlands and in Belgium. Group exhibitions include Manifesta 4, the European Biennial of Contemporary Art in Frankfurt am Main, and the 4th Gwangju Biennale, Gwangju, Korea. Her films have been screened worldwide at international film festivals.
