Melvin Moti is opgeleid aan de kunstacademie in Tilburg en post-doctoraal aan De Ateliers in Amsterdam.
Zijn werk wordt regelmatig in binnen- en buitenland getoond.
In 2006 ontving Moti de Charlotte Köhler Prijs en de Van Lanschot prijs. Momenteel is hij artist-in-residence bij Kunstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlijn.
