Sonu Shamdasani (geboren in 1962) is auteur, redacteur en professor aan de UCL Centre for the History of Medicine, University College London. Hij is gespecialiseerd in de (vroeg-)moderne geschiedenis van de psychiatrie, psychologie en geesteswetenschappen. Daarnaast is hij hoofdredacteur van de Philemon Foundation (www.philemonfoundation.org), een non-profitorganisatie die momenteel een publicatie met Carl Gustav Jungs complete werk voorbereidt. Van 1993 tot en met 2012 was Shamdasani verbonden aan de Wellcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine, van 2009 tot 2010 als directeur. Nadat de afdeling History of Medicine werd gesloten werkte hij aan het Department of Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology, waar hij het Centre for the History of Psychological Disciplines oprichtte.
