Charlotte de Mille is als docent verbonden aan de University of Sussex en als Visiting Lecturer aan het Courtauld Institute of Art in Londen. Haar onderzoek concentreert zich op de kruising van muziek, schilderkunst en filosofie. De Mille is redacteur van Music and Modernism (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2011), en onlangs gepubliceerd in Art History, als co-editor samen met John Mullarkey of Bergson and the Art of Immanence: Painting, Photography, Film, Performance (Edinburgh University Press, 2013). Ze werkte mee aan binnenkort te verschijnen publicaties zoals Rival Sisters: Art and Music at the Birth of Modernism (Ashgate, 2012), Modernist Games: Cézanne and The Card Players (Courtauld Institute 2012) en Music and Visual Culture: A Research Guide (Routledge, 2013). De Mille is tevens curator van de Courtauld Gallery en voorzitter van de Royal Musical Association’s Music and Visual Arts Group.
