Sidsel Meineche Hansen is an artist whose practice explores nervousness as a form of institutional critique. Her work manifests as exhibitions and seminars. Meineche Hansen is part of the collaborative research project Model Court (2009-) and an associate professor at the Funen Art Academy, Denmark. Solo and group exhibitions from 2014 include: IN-SIDER, Cubitt Gallery, Schizo-Culture: Cracks in the street, SPACE, London; Let’s Destroy the Earth but keep the Humans, Galerie Gregor Staiger, Zurich; Je Suis Feministe, Unit 21, London; J’ai froid, castillo/corrales, Paris, (2014); Late Barbarians, Gasworks Gallery, London. Seminars/events initiated in 2014 include: Methylene Blue Diluted by Female Ejaculation (w. Josefine Wikström), SPACE gallery, London; Why does Fred Sandbeck’s work make me cry? Cubitt Gallery, London and If I can’t Dance, Amsterdam; HIS HEAD, Gasworks Gallery, London and the seminar series This is not a Symptom, hosted by South London Gallery (2014-2015).
