Remco van Bladel

Remco van Bladel (Amersfoort, 1977) is a graphic designer, based in Amsterdam. He is the co-founder of noise band/art collective ‘Sonido Gris’, Dutch art book publisher ‘Onomatopee’ and the designer of the online platform ‘WdW Review’ (Witte de With, Rotterdam). His studio work focusses on editorial book design, publishing projects, curatorial projects, institutional identities, interactive applications and websites. The studio was responsible for this years identity and publication of the exhibition ‘to be all ways to be’ by herman de vries at the Dutch pavilion and the development of the Supercommunity, e-flux journal platform for the 56th Venice Biennale.

His clients include artists like: Navid Nuur, Jonas Staal, Justin Bennett, Gert-Jan Prins and Erik van Lieshout besides institutions like Witte de With, e-flux, New World Summit, Extra City Kunsthal, Arts Writers Grant Program, BAK Basis voor actuele kunst, Council, Museum Jan Cunen, Rijksakademie voor Beeldende Kunsten and STEIM (studio for electro-instrumental music).

He is a typography and graphic design tutor at ArtEZ — Art and Design, Arnhem and is a frequent guest teacher at art schools throughout the Netherlands and abroad.
