In 2006 Piet van Hecke completes his study as Master of Arts, Art History, Musicology and Theatre Studies at the University of Gent. In 2007 he completes the initial Academical Teachers Training. After this, he works as a teacher in history and art history and starts a few projects around theatre and visual art for adolescents. From 2008 Piet van Hecke has started to work as a guide and organizer for workshops in the Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp (M HKA) and the Middelheimmuseum. In 2013 he coordinates the first visitors program for people with starting dementia and their caregiver called Meet Me @ M HKA. Starting 2014 he has been working as a employee for mediation and responsible for the education concerning the M HKA.
