Nick Lowe is Reader in Classical Literature at Royal Holloway, University of London. His books include The Classical Plot and the Invention of Western Narrative (2000) and Comedy (2008), and his latest is the co-edited volume Eros in Ancient Greece (2013). For nearly thirty years he has been the resident film columnist for Interzone magazine, for which he won a British Science Fiction Award in 2010, and he is a contributing editor on film for the third edition of the Science Fiction Encyclopedia (www.sf-encyclopedia.com).
