Mårten Spångberg

Mårten Spångberg is a performance related artist. His interests include choreography in an expanded field, which he has approached through experimental practices and creative process in a multiplicity of formats. He has been active on stage as both a performer and creator since 1994, and since 1999 has created his own choreographies, from solo pieces to larger scale works, which have toured internationally.

Selected choreographic works include The Force The Movie The Vague, with Krõõt Juurak, CIAP, Hasselt (2011); A Warrior’s Roar Holler Across The Sky Weld, Stockholm; and Burn Your Boats, a scenic-narration with Kroot Juurak (both 2010); DARK, evening-long choreography, with Emma Kim Hagdahl and Elizabeth Ward; WELD, Stockholm (both 2009); Slowfall, evening-long choreography (2008).
