Guido Messling is curator of German painting at the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna. From 2001-2005 he has worked at the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart. Over the past decade he has published mainly on German Art of the 15th and 16th century and has organized exhibitions such as „The World of Lucas Cranach“ (Brussels/Paris 2010/11) and the show on the Ottoman Orient in Renaissance art opening at Bozar Brussels in february. He is currently preparing on an exhibition on Cranach which opens in Tokyo in 2016.
