Angie Keefer

Angie Keefer is an artist, writer, teacher, and publisher, who produces objects, images, texts, talks, performances, and public programs, often in collaboration with other artists and institutions. She has recently exhibited at: Greater New York, MoMA PS1 (2016); Kunstverein Munich (2015); Whitney Biennial, New York (2014); Liverpool Biennial (2014); and Objectif Exhibitions, Antwerp (2013–14); while her talks and performances have been staged at: Artists Space, New York (2015); Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art, Rotterdam (2013); and the São Paulo Biennial (2012); among others. In 2010, with Dexter Sinister, Keefer cofounded The Serving Library, a not-for-profit artists’ organization dedicated to publishing, and, via publishing, to building an institutional archive of objects and texts to serve artist-run education. Keefer is coeditor of The Bulletins, the bi-annual journal of The Serving Library, and regularly contributes to other magazines and artist publications. She graduated from Yale University, where she studied sculpture. She lives in upstate New York.
