Following on from the exhibition [based upon] TRUE STORIES, the works of three artists will remain on show until April 21st in the context of the Foto Biënnale Rotterdam and form the basis for lectures, debates and a workshop.

The two series of photographs by Efrat Shvily, New Homes in Israel and the Occupied Territories and Palestinian Cabinet Ministers, deal with political aspects, echoing the theme of the photography biennial: “Experience”.

The methodology for De l’autre côté, fragment d’une installation by Chantal Akerman is closely related to the installation D’Est. Au bord de la fiction, which will also be shown during the photography biennial.

Fîlmekî ku mirov nikare bikisîne – A non-realizable film (partial views) by Alejandra Riera, is a “work in progress” and will be developed further during this period.

On June 13, 2003, the first book by Efrat Shvily, Palestinian Cabinet Ministers, 2000, will be presented at the Venice Biennial 2003.

In fall 2003, a second book by Efrat Shvily, titled New Homes in Israel and the Occupied Territories, with texts by Catherine David and Ariella Azoulay, will be published by Witte de With.
