Witte de With’s education department offers individuals and groups imaginative models for understanding contemporary art via direct contact with artworks, artists and other art professionals. During all educational activities the emphasis lies on interaction and active participation. Activities are especially geared towards the age, level of knowledge, art experience, and interests of the participants.
The programs of the Education Department include “Art Confrontations,” the “Cultuurtraject” (culture trajectory) projects for various levels of Dutch secondary educational institutions (VMBO, HAVO and VWO) and guided tours for groups of college and university students. Witte de With has also joined forces with a number of educational institutions to develop educational modules.
Additionally, master classes, peer education and co-creation projects that are open to the public are organized for specific target audiences.
