About Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art
Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art is an international public institution with Rotterdam as its home base. Established in 1990, Witte de With explores developments in contemporary art worldwide. Witte de With has been commenting on the social and political predicament since its inception through the presentation of curated exhibitions, symposia, live events, educational programs, and a bold publishing arm.
Witte de With offers starting art professionals, secondary education students, and higher education students the opportunity to acquire work experience by means of an internship. We offer internships in the following departments: Curatorial & Publications, Education, and PR & Marketing/Communication.
If you are interested in an internship, please send us your resumé and a short motivation letter informing which section of the organization you would like to intern in. We offer internships of 3 – 4 days per week with a minimum of 4 consecutive months and a maximum of 6 consecutive months. Please mention your availability (3 or 4 days per week), the preferred duration of your internship (4 or 6 months) and starting date.

Internship PR & Communication
Witte de With is looking for candidates for internships in our PR, Marketing and Communication department. Do you have an interdisciplinary, hands-on attitude and passion for contemporary art? Then you might be the one we’re looking for.
This internship evolves around informing and interesting diverse target groups for our institute. You’ll be working on all forms of external communication: from our website and social media to approaching the press and organising small public events. During the internship you will have the opportunity to develop skills within the area of marketing and communication, editing and business.
Our PR & Communication intern should have:
– an educational background in Art History, Journalism, Communication, Marketing or Cultural Sciences
– advanced social skills
– fluency in English and preferably Dutch (basic knowledge of both is a must)
– familiarity with social media
– an interest in marketing and contemporary art (must)
– preferably residence in Rotterdam
We offer internships of 3 – 4 days per week with a minimum of 4 consecutive months and a maximum of 6 consecutive months, starting in January 2016.
