Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art is an international public institution with Rotterdam as its home base. Established in 1990, Witte de With explores developments in contemporary art worldwide. Witte de With has been commenting on the social and political predicament since its inception through the presentation of curated exhibitions, symposia, live events, educational programs, and a bold publishing arm.
Vacancy: Education Assistant
The Witte de With Education team is looking for support. At the moment there is a job opening for an Education Assistant. For more information please download the full profile. As an intern in the curatorial department, you are part of our curatorial team and will assist our curators with their research and the production of new exhibitions.
Our Curatorial intern should have:
- an educational background in for example Art History, Art academy or Cultural Sciences
- fluency in English and/or Dutch
- an interest in and knowledge of contemporary art (must)
- preferably residence in Rotterdam
We offer an internship of 3 – 4 days per week for an uninterrupted period of at least 4 months, starting 1 July 2015.

Internship PR & Communication
Witte de With is looking for candidates for internships in our PR, Marketing and Communication department. Do you have an interdisciplinary, hands-on attitude and passion for contemporary art? Then you might be the one we’re looking for.
This internship evolves around informing and interesting diverse target groups for our institute. You’ll be working on all forms of external communication: from our website and social media to approaching the press and organising small public events. During the internship you will have the opportunity to develop skills within the area of marketing and communication, editing and business.
Our PR & Communication intern should have:
- an educational background in Art History, Journalism, Communication, Marketing or Cultural Sciences
- advanced social skills
- fluency in Dutch and/or English
- familiarity with social media
- an interest in marketing and contemporary art (must)
- preferably residence in Rotterdam
We offer an internship of 3 – 4 days per week for an uninterrupted period of at least 4 months, starting in Semptember 2015.

Witte de With offers starting art professionals, secondary education students, and higher education students the opportunity to acquire work experience by means of an internship. We offer internships in the following departments: Curatorial, Publications, Education, PR & Communication and Development.

Witte de With has its own team of guides, all of whom are associated with the center for longer periods of time. All guides are trained by Witte de With staff to accompany groups of schoolchildren and to give guided tours.
